Colossuses for Kaltenkirchen: New injection moulding machines for WISKA production plant

Altogether they weigh 24 tons, the two new injection moulding machines, with which WISKA expands its plastic production capacities at the location in Kaltenkirchen to 33 machines.

The new machines will manufacture products that are produced by using the twin-shot injection moulding process. The machines have 2 injection moulding units each enabling different plastic components to be injected.

The proven process is used to develop and manufacture products that combine a wide variety of properties. For example, the CLIXX® and MultiCLIXX® products, which are designed as grommets in such a way that the cables are simply and quickly inserted through the soft membrane and at the same time provide strain relief.

Goals, team spirit, football fever: The WISKA Business Cup 2018

Matching scenery and best weather: Three days before the Football World Cup the first WISKA Business Cup was kicked off in Hamburg and friends and partners of the company were invited. A total of eight teams competed for the cup on this day. They kicked in style in front of the HSVVolksparkstadion. Besides the athletic ambition on the course, the fun and the common experience were in the foreground that day.

Former HSV professional and current DFB sports director Horst Hrubesch also enjoyed playing and having fun of the teams. The former player of the German national team came as a surprise guest and was enthusiastic about the mood of everyone involved.

Hrubesch, also presented the Cup to the winners of the tournament, the team of the electrical wholesaler Hillmann and Ploog. The 2nd and 3rd place went to the two teams of WISKA Germany. Top scorer of the day was Callum Wilson of Team WISKA UK. And because football fever makes them hungry, the teams went on to a Hamburg Beach Club after the tournament, where the eventful day ended with a relaxed barbecue on the Elbe.

U17 Soccer World Cup in India: WISKA keeps their fingers crossed for HSV talent Fiete Arp on Friday

Great opening match by Fiete Arp at the U17 Soccer World Cup in India: With a goal and a pass, he led the German Team to a 2:1 victory against Costa Rica. What a performance! In the game on Tuesday, the team had less success and the youngsters got a 0:4 defeat by Iran. That’s why they have to fear about getting kicked out of the World Cup at their game on Friday.

„We will definitely keep our fingers crossed for the upcoming match on Friday. As well as the employees of our subsidiary in India. They also assure us of their mental support. So it can only be a good match against Guinea,“ says Ronald Hoppmann, Managing Director of WISKA as well as a big fan of the Hamburger SV (HSV) Bundesliga team.

The U17 Soccer World Cup takes place in India from 6 - 28 of October with all eyes on the young Hamburg talent Fiete Arp (17).

"Fiete Arp is a great example of what can happen if we strengthen young people and foster their talent. We are delighted that he has gained self-confidence at the HSV academy to play big on the international stage. Of course, this also involves handling defeats.“ says Ronald Hoppmann.

For the 2017/18 soccer season in Germany, WISKA is one of the first companies in the newly founded support group for HSV young talents.

"Young people need a chance to prove themselves. This is the only way of building a bridge to the future. That is why we have expanded our partnership with the HSV by supporting their youth promotion program," says Ronald Hoppmann, who is leading the WISKA company together with his sister Tanja Hoppmann, in the third generation.

Promoting young talent is important for WISKA. In addition to a comprehensive apprenticeship of the junior employees, the focus is set on self-responsible action. From internal projects to representing the company at established fairs – the young employees learn the meaning of actively shaping the company and take on responsibility.

WISKA becomes official sponsor of HSV young talents

After starting sponsoring the Hamburger SV (HSV) as an „Official Supplier“ in 2016, we now have extended our support for the long-established German Bundesliga football team during the season 2017 / 18. But above this, this time we especially support the HSV young talents – being one of the first companies in HSV´s newly formed association for young talents.

Together with HSV CEO Herbert Bruchhagen, we are happy to continue our collaboration: “The fact that WISKA is continuing to sponsor the HSV demonstrates great trust in the partnership. As a sponsor of our junior teams, our partner is now also getting involved in the vocational and advanced training of our young football players. There isn’t enough praise that can be said for this commitment.”
