For technical outdoor lighting, with its 4010 and 2010 LED multi-purpose luminaires, WISKA offers compact and very flexible products with a long LED lifetime and material advantages for sustainable installation. These are complemented by the new LED floodlight 5010, a product complement of the LED floodlight 5000 with High-Lumen-Output, 1x 220W or 2x 200W and separate ballast unit. The new WISKA LED searchlight extends the popular octagonal design series and can be used as a searchlight or floodlight with 2x 18,000 lm and IP 66/68, in endless rotation, with stepless speed and morse function. With its new remote control unit, operation is a child's play.
The WISKA HNA installation material made of brass were the first WISKA products that the company produced when it was founded in 1919. Just a few years later, the first plastic products were added, especially for the non-maritime market. WISKA now finally offers a high-quality, seawater-resistant plastic alternative for the classic maritime brassware - lead-free and even in protection class IP66/67. The COMBI® MARITIM 304 system consists of a junction box, rotary switch and LED light - manufactured from polypropylene and TPE in twin-shot injection moulding in Kaltenkirchen, supplied in black and with WISKA cable glands ESKV (junction box and rotary switch). "With its low weight and long life, our COMBI® MARITIM 304 system offers clear advantages for installation and the environment. All this made in Germany.," says Ronald Hoppmann, General Management. Of course, WISKA will also be showcasing its market-leading VARITAIN® reefer container sockets and cable entries at SMM.

The lighting and installation ranges are rounded off by WISKA CCTV video surveillance: The current CS-S camera series with its 360° pan/tilt unit or as a fixed camera housing offers 512x zoom at 4 megapixel resolutions in operating temperatures between -30°C and +55°C.

All products are developed and produced by the company itself and run through the entire value chain at WISKA.

This year’s event took place at Whittlebury Hall and was a fantastic day of business and networking.  The event culminated in a dinner and awards ceremony with entertainment from comedian Dominic Holland.  After the entertainment came the much-anticipated awards ceremony with several categories including Supplier of the Year.  The IBA has members across the UK and has group turnover of £130 million+, making the Supplier of the Year (or SOTY as it’s known) a much sought after accolade for any manufacturer.  WISKA UK Ltd picked up 2 awards on the night, Best Trade Show Stand, and the top gong: IBA Supplier of the Year 2023.  Members cast their votes in several categories to determine who the supplier of the year winner is.  In another very challenging year, it was huge honour for everyone involved at WISKA UK Ltd to be announced as the overall winner.  WISKA’s high standard of service, continued customer communication and high-quality products were highlighted by members as one of the many factors when deciding.

Within its constantly growing range of technical lighting products, the company is presenting the new non-metallic LED multi-purpose luminaire 4010 with a luminous flux of 1,200 up to 7,200 lm and a lifetime of 100,000 hours. In addition to the long standard version with 775 mm, there is also a short version with only 495 mm. The high-performance lighting, optionally also with battery back-up, is corrosion-free and easy to install. It is ideally suited for use on car ferries, among others.

With the new LED searchlight, WISKA extends its existing range with a LED version. Its casing adds a complete new development to the familiar WISKA octagonal design. It can be used as a searchlight or floodlight and offers two times 18,000 lm. The new product features endless rotation, stepless speed control, a home and booster function and can be used at minus 25 °C to plus 45 °C. The LED innovations are rounded off by a new high-lumen output version of the floodlight 5000.

The new CCTV camera series also offers a new design: The new camera station can be rotated 360° endlessly thanks to its newly developed pan-tilt unit, while its variant as a fixed camera housing is fixly installed. With a new compact design without external cables and with an internal connection compartment, the new series replaces the entire previous WISKA stainless steel series.

WISKA will also be showing in its new COMBI 304 MAR series a junction box and a rotary switch at SMM. "In the area of installation material, our new COMBI 304 box brings along our many years of experience in non-metallic installation material from various industrial sectors. The two-component injection moulding made of polypropylene and TPE convinces at IP66/67 rating and is manufactured in our factory. Supplemented by its variant as a rotary switch, our 304 has what it takes to deliver a real alternative to the previous HNA products made of brass," says Ronald Hoppmann, WISKA General Manager, adding "We are very pleased to finally be back at SMM and to talk with our guests."

WISKA UK Ltd has grown through the development of our people, working with well-designed quality products. We are committed to providing staff with the resources and training needed to ensure they grow in their career. WISKA UK Ltd have been employing apprentices every year, 39% of the team have started as apprentices and 48% of employees have continued their learning while at WISKA UK with 40+ employees.  

My name is Sophie, I have been working at WISKA UK Ltd for just under a year. My journey started working in the Production department, an opportunity arose 4 months ago for me to move into the office and start an apprenticeship. My apprenticeship started on the 1st of April 2022 with Truro & Penwith College doing the Business Admin Level 3, with learning, practical and studying involved.

My apprenticeship involves a variety of topics, from learning the history and the background of a business. This includes Digital Marketing, Personal development, Self-awareness, Interpersonal skills and Legislation. I have regular reviews with my college lecturer to keep up to date with my progress and being allowed the time to do college work while in working hours helps with any questions I may have and making sure I complete the work in sufficient time.

This course has helped me explore more about WISKA UK Ltd, the different departments and tasks they fulfil. The course is based on building up a showcase file, as I am still early into my apprenticeship, my aim is to finish my portfolio by the middle of March. After this is complete, I will go onto the mock assessments and the final project should be in June.

AIEW members are based around the UK.  The group brings together electrical wholesalers and manufacturers to help support and develop both business and relationships.  WISKA UK Ltd joined the AIEW back in 2001.  WISKA UK Ltd was honoured to be awarded the Partnership Award 2021 at the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony.

The award is voted by the AIEW employees and back-office team in recognition of suppliers that have actively supported the group over the years through promotions, catalogue support, trade show attendance, regular updates, and communications.
